My name is Chef Amber Williams, 28 year old, Dallas native and Head Chef and Owner of Le Rouge Cuisine Food Company.
I began cooking and baking as a hobby when I was a little girl, helping my mom out in the kitchen, learning our family recipes from Louisiana. Then while in college obtaining my BS in Business Management from Grambling State University, I began making small dessert bites, cakes, brownies, etc. and selling them for extra money. From then, people started to order more, and I began studying the art of decorating cakes, started practicing more and my passion grew. As time went on, I knew that serving people was what I wanted to do and I set my eyes upon going to culinary school after obtaining my BS in Business Management from Grambling State University. However, after graduating in 2011, I began working in corporate America, time flew by and I did not attend culinary school due to finances, but I did not let that stop my journey. I continued to work at my craft, using my family and friends as guinea pigs. I, then, contemplated over a few business names and one stuck out - this is how Le Rouge Cuisine Food Company was born. 'Le Rouge Cuisine' simply translates to "The Red Kitchen" in French, which culminates my Créole roots. Red is the color of passion, power and zeal and with the kitchen being My Domain, it just stuck.
In Mid-August of 2015, with much prayer and no money saved, I made the daunting decision to leaveCorporate America and take on my business full time. With no large sums of capital and no clients lined up, I just knew there was so much I wanted to accomplish and I had a mission to make Le Rouge Cuisine Food company a household name. Now 2 years later, Le Rouge Cuisine has become a business on-the-rise in the DFW metroplex; with successful collaborations with outstanding brands, high-end clientele such as Comedian and celebrity Chef Nanette Lee, the K104 morning team, city officials and Fortune 500 companies.
