Meet Chef Amber

My fondest food memory rests somewhere between a small bustling kitchen in Baton Rouge filled with loud voices and loud Creole flavors during Mardi Gras, to reinventing holiday classics with my mom as a child in Oak Cliff to give the ordinary seasonal menu a much-needed remix.”

About Chef Amber Williams

Chef Amber Williams is a Dallas native, the youngest of three, raised in a big family where food was the heart of every gathering. From a young age, she was surrounded by the vibrant, flavorful dishes of her Louisiana roots, learning family recipes and discovering the joy of cooking alongside her mother in their Oak Cliff home. Whether it was the lively kitchens of Mardi Gras in Baton Rouge or reinventing holiday meals with a twist, food has always been at the center of Chef Amber’s world.

By age eight, she knew that she wanted to be a chef when she grew up. Her passion for food only grew stronger as she studied the art of cooking and baking at Grambling State University, where she honed her skills and deepened her love for the culinary arts. Although culinary school wasn’t financially feasible, Chef Amber kept her dream alive by working in Corporate America while pouring every free moment into learning more about cooking and baking.

In 2014, Le Rouge Cuisine was born, driven by Chef Amber’s love for serving others and her passion for blending her Texas and Louisiana influences into a unique culinary experience. Le Rouge Cuisine  was her dream brought to life, where she created exceptional Creole fusion dishes and specialized in private chef experiences and catering. Le Rouge Cuisine – meaning "The Red Kitchen" in French – reflected her Creole roots and the zeal she brought to the kitchen.

In 2024, Chef Amber transitioned to her current role as Executive Chef at Bonton Farms. Here, she leads culinary innovation, bringing fresh, healthy, and culturally inspired meals to underserved communities. At Bonton Farms, Chef Amber is committed to making a positive impact on food access, sustainability, and education in communities that need it the most.

Today, Chef Amber combines her business acumen with her culinary expertise to shape the future of the food and beverage industry. Chef Amber is also the author of Surviving the Food Desert, a groundbreaking book dedicated to educating and inspiring individuals living in food-insecure communities. The book offers personal stories, insights on food deserts, and practical recipes that bring hope and culture to underserved areas.

Through her work, Chef Amber continues to inspire others and elevate Creole fusion flavors, all while striving to bridge gaps in food access and sustainability, one dish at a time.
